The hubs finally finished putting it together last night, and I wasted no time in trying that bad boy out.
I did 2 miles last night. Running for a quarter mile, walking for a quarter mile.
2 miles in 32 minutes.
Since I'll be running this 5K in March, I have set a personal goal of finishing the 3.1 miles in 30 minutes or less.
This is just a personal goal, but as you see I have a ways to go before I can even run a whole mile without walking, much less 3 miles!
And under 30 minutes!
This morning I got up and hit the treadmill. I did 2 miles in 30 minutes, so each day it seems I'm getting a little faster and better.
As far as weight goes, I have seem to hit a plateau. The scale reads between 175-176 daily. Thus the reason for my daily 2 miles. I'm hoping that running 2 miles a day, 5-6 days a week will kick start my weight loss again.
Also, the holidays are done now, so that means all the fudge is out of my house, all the turkey and fixins are gone, and it's back to Smart Ones and veggies.
I got some great healthy cookbooks for Christmas so I'm excited to put those to use.
Tomorrow we are loadin up and heading to Shiloh Ridge for our New Years Eve ride.
We will come back on Sunday. We always have the BEST food while camping, and it is really one of my weaknesses.
This time I have my sister to hold me accountable since she is on WW too, so I'm hoping we can make good choices this weekend.
Thursday night we are having hamburgers so we are splitting a hamburger, and I'm bringing 1 point cheese for them.
Friday night we are having pork chops, and will just limit my portions.
Saturday we're having steaks, but I'm bringing chicken breasts for my sister and I instead.
So we've got everything planned out, just hoping to stick to it!
I'm not sure if T will ride this time around... it's looking like it will be too cold for him.
He might have to wait until our ride in Feb. to experience the Prowler.
Regardless, we've got him some nice, comfy outfits that he should stay warm in.
Here are some pics of the treadmill.
I get to watch TV while I run...
And this is T.
What you can't see is that he is fixated on the TV...
I hope everyone has a safe and happy new year! Here's to a great 2010!!!
