Okay, fine, MY sanity. Whatev.
1.
The Ruffles With Love giveaway ends tomorrow. If you haven't entered, do so now. All the cool kids are doing it.
2.
A lot of you have left me comments asking how tall I am. And when I go to respond to you, your email address isn't connected to your Blogger account! Annoying!
Anyway, I'm 5'6.

I got professionally fitted for running shoes yesterday.
Okay, if you have not done this, and you are a runner, I TOTALLY recommend it.
I went to RunOn!, a local running store.
I don't know if they have them where you live, but certainly they have some kind of similar store. It might be at the corner of Get a Map and Fuckoff. (The Hangover, anyone?)
So, you go in, and talk to the people about what kind of running you do, what you use your shoes for, how many miles you clock weekly, etc.
They make you take off your shoes and watch you walk to see if you pronate, have high arches, etc.
I don't pronate, but I do have high arches, so the hippie guy brought out 3 brands of shoes that he thought would fit my foot best.
Mizuno, Asics, and Brooks.
I've run in Asics before, love them. Never in the other two though.
The Mizuno's were so pretty! They were purple!

And if I was choosing shoes based on looks, I would have gone with the Mizuno's.
Honestly, that's what I've done in the past.
My current shoes were UnderArmour. I loved them, but truthfully, I chose them because they looked cool.
Not because they were the right shoe for my foot.
I fell in love with the Brooks brand.

They hugged my foot and felt like I was walking on a cloud.
I can't wait to try them out for a run today! (It's supposed to be 75 degrees this afternoon!!!)
I really suggest you go find the right shoe for your foot, I promise it will make all the difference in your runs!

MJ is sick. He's got a mild tummy bug and I'm at home with him today.
I had dropped him off at the sitter this morning and was in the Starbucks line getting my morning tall skinny caramel latte w/ no foam and 2 sweet n low's, when I got a call saying MJ was throwing up.
So I had to switch from work mode to mommy mode and take him to the doctor.

He just had 6 oz. of Pedialyte and is now sleeping. Poor guy.

Valentines Day last night was so incredibly romantic.
The hubs and I had a candlelight dinner and then took a bath together and made sweet, sweet love all night long.
And if you REALLY believe that's how things went down, you are seriously mistaken.
I cleaned boogers out of my kids' noses, changed shit diapers, and stepped on legos all night. Hubs had class and didn't get home until 8pm.
I did, however, make him a lovely dinner.

Yep, that's a heart shaped meatloaf. I know, you're totally jealous right now.
My meatloaf goes hard. That's what HE said.
But for real, my meatloaf is the best loaves of meat ever.
If by mine, I really mean Pioneer Woman's... whatev.
Yes, you can skinny it up, I often do. But last night was all about the hubs, so I made it all fatty like, just for him.
I do my man good. Clogged arteries and all.

I am going to start another cycle of The Shred soon.
Of course, I'll do before and after pictures.
I had such great success with it the first time, and have even higher hopes this time.
I am shooting for a 10 lb. loss, and a 10 inch loss.
I'll post before pics soon. So be on the lookout for them.
Happy Wedesnday you whores.

Awesome running shoes, btw!
OMG! Your posts make me laugh (out loud so everyone in my hall thinks I am nuts)Yes, Valentine's day takes on a whole new meaning when you have kids. I was giving an oatmeal bath and treating a mild case of eczema!
I just wanted you to know that as a new reader, what keeps me coming back is that you're hilarious and real. I've just started my weight loss journey (10 pounds gone) and have a long way to go, but you've been a big help. (A Pinterest referral, btw.)
I have Mizunos and love them but I've heard a lot of great things about Brooks too.
Sorry the little one is sick. That's no fun!

I totally just got fit for running shoes this fall! What was I thinhking waiting. To think that I'd run and trained for a 1/2 marathon in my old ones makes my feet hurt judy to think about it. Love the "cloud" feeling. Enjoy your warm run today. I'll enjoy mine in the SNOW! (yuck!)
I just got fitted for running shoes <3 them!!!!
The first time I ran in my running shoes (had fitted at a running store), I literally felt like I was running on air. PERFECTION!

As I read your Valentines night, I thought to myself, "Really?!?!? Lucky!". Yeah, no. Me either.
Oh how Valentines Day is so different once you have kids!! Mine was spent looking at flooring samples after work, doing homework and giving baths, I did manage to make spaghetti but I ate alone because Mike was working on our computer all night in the spare bedroom. Ahhh so romantic!! haha
Love love love your blog your fabulous blah, blah, blah. Found you via pinterest and I'm hooked. I'm currently doing C25k and 30 day shred and loving it! I have 3 little ones (twins 2.5 years and a 4 year old) anyway thanks for making me laugh!! Totally agree with getting fitted for running shoes I did about a month ago and what a difference!!

MJ is so freakin cute!!! Hope he gets better soon :)
I got to clean poop out of the tub-sounds like we had similar V-days!
Poor MJ! I sometimes mixed clear pedialyte with formula. No clue if you're supposed to, but it's the only way they'd take it.
Funny post!! We SOOOO could be friends! Just sayin...not stalkerish at all, promise!
I have been on a new weight loss journey. 10 pounds so far but you inspired me to take before pictures. SCARY!
Thanks for the motivation and laughter. I look forward to reading everyday.
Fatty. meat. lmfao

can't wait to keep reading.
P.s. Mazunos or how ever the hell you spell them are awesome and you NEED them!! Purple is the new black, everyone needs two pairs of running shoes!
I absolutely love you and your blog. One of my favorite things every morning is reading your entry, you just tell it like it is girl. The fact that you made a heart shape meatloaf, oh my goodness. I might have to steal that idea for my Rye-guy. You motivate me to keep moving and I am thankful for that.
75 degrees??? WHAT!? So jealous!
I love me some Brooks running shoes. I also had a crazy, hippie runner guy picked them out for me during a fitting years ago, and I've never bought another brand since. Your feet are going to thank you!
Sorry MJ is sick. That sucks. I love me some Brooks shoes! I've wore them since 2002 when I walked in the 60 mile Avon walk for breast cancer. The weather today is fantastic in Keller, Tx!
I'm new to your blog, and I must say...you're a funny motherfucker. There is nothing better than reading about someone else getting vomit in their mouth. I'm new to the blogging thing..but you are someone to look up to you sexy bitch! Let's totally do drinks when I'm up in Dallas next..lord knows we both need it. http://www.meditatingwhilemultitasking.blogspot.com
This post made my morning :) And being fitted for running shoes is fabulous. My last pair were Mizunos, but I just got a pair of Brooks a couple months ago, which are great.
I must tell you that your blog is the absolute best blog that I read. There is nothing fake about it. I find myself laughing every time I read these and it just makes my day! Thanks lady!
Is it bad that the description of the candle light dinner etc made me want to barf! LOL... Tells you something about my marriage. Anywho...your V-Day night sounds a lot like mine! Good luck with The Shred.
I went to Run on today and got my foot fitted too. Every pair I buy the balls of my feet burn. So I wanted to go and see what they said. I ended up leaving with a pair of Brooks too!! I have never owned a pair but they felt great on my feet in the store. Hopefully they will the same when I actually move in them. ohh and Since me and Kristin didnt win the work out shirt, we ordered us each one yesterday. Super Cute!
