Vegas Part 2

Becka and Ben met us at the pool cabana on Friday afternoon.
We hung out, had some drinks and got in the pool a little.
It was 111 degrees.
That's not a joke.
It's a real thing.
It's hot, but different than Texas heat. Texas heat is BRUTAL because it's humid AND hot.
Vegas is dry and hot.
My skin was so dry the entire trip that I went through an entire bottle of aloe vera lotion.

After too many drinks at the pool, The Hubs and I went back to the room to shower and get ready.
I then napped.
Because I'm old and can't hang like I used to.
Becka came to my room and napped, too.
Correction, WE'RE old. haha.

We then got up and ready.
The Hubs had gone downstairs to lose some more money -aka- gamble.
I jacked my hair straight up to Jesus, put on some hooker clothes and we headed out to meet the boys at Carnevino for dinner.
black romper from Macy's.
shoes are Carlos Santana from Ross.
jewelry from KLR.
Becka's dress is KLR and shoes are mine- Sam Edleman from Holly for a birthday present.

Dinner was really good. I had the prosciutto and it was amazing!

We then headed to club Tao in the Venetian for some dancing and shenanigans.
Becka and Ben went to do some more gambling.
love my Vegas girls!
our group at club TAO
We got back to our room around 2:30am and I crashed.
And for some unknown, ridiculous reason, I woke up at 5:00am! WIDE AWAKE!
Which would really be 7:00am here, so no surprise I guess.

We headed to brunch at Max Brenners to meet some fabulous women and eat some yummy food.

American flag shirt & chevron shorts from KLR. I LOVE this outfit!

Then we did some shopping around, gambling at Golden Nugget, and a little sight seeing.
Then back to the hotel to get changed and ready for dinner and a show.
keeping it classy at Andreas
We saw the show Absinthe.
Okay, I'm not a big "show" fan. I could really care less about shows, but this was really good!
DO NOT go see it if you're conservative at all.
It's kinda raunchy and crass.
No wonder I liked it so much!
It was really funny and worth a see!

Then we did some walking around and waiting for the fountain show at The Bellagio (which we never saw. lame).
top is Guess
shoes are Steve Madden
shorts from KLR

Sunday we headed home to the boys.
Flights back were much easier and we had no problems at all.

My thoughts on Vegas are this:
LOVE the city. Will definitely be back, but will probably stay somewhere more low key, closer to Freemont St.
Will definitely do the zip line next time and walk the strip more.
We had a great time and can't wait to go back.... after we fully recover, yahmean??

Like in a year...

I'm old.

You MUST do the zip line. It's so awesome, at least it was in the jungle of Costa Rica. I'm sure vegas would be JUST as awesome.

Your lash extensions look amazing in that photo of you and your hubby in the club.

I'm also coveting that American Flag shirt - LOVE!

Vegas is a blast! Glad you enjoyed it! We typically stay at Mirage - love their pool!

Your American Flag top/chevron shorts outfit was out of this world adorable! I'd never think to pair the two ... then again ... I could never pull off shorts! Lookin' hot, Brandi :)

I'm glad you had a blast! We like to stay at MGM Grand, but LOVED staying more central on the strip the last time we went. There is so much to see and do we usually stay three or four days/nights and that is PLENTY. How did your feet hold up in all of your cute shoes? Last summer I wanted to cut my feet off, but I was 30 pounds heavier then. I hope you got to see the light show on Freemont street. If not you should do that next time too! Thanks for the trip recap!

Glad you had a great time in my home town, some of my favorite places to stay, when we have "staycations" of our own, are the Golden Nugget and Mandalay, they have awesome rooms and pools. Wish I could of met up with you, but we had a concert at the Cosmo, we saw The Offspring, and we got to meet and greet the band :)

I also feel ridiculously old (I'm 29) when I go to Vegas because I just can't hang anymore like I could when I was 21. Your outfits are cute!

Looks like you had tons of fun! Had to chime in to say Carnevino is my FAVORITE restaurant in Vegas. So amazing, worth every penny for a fancy meal while you're there!!

I have been to vegas twice, and I was definitely in college the first time and just out the second..if I went now I am pretty sure I would need 3 naps...crazy how your body changes and says NOPE I'm done..lol...If I can ever get my fiance to go I def want to see a show...he would love Absinthe I am sure...he's quite inappropriate at times haha :) I would want to enjoy more of the Vegas sites..I was well drunk most of the time both times i was there so I think this time might require more soberness! :) Your outfits were adorable glad you had a great time!! You definitely deserved it!!

We were in Vegas the last week of May and had a great time. We stayed at New York New York. It's pretty low key and smaller. The room was wonderful, the bed amazing! I know what you mean about waking up early! One morning we had coffee and then took the tram to several hotels and walked around for a few hours. There were hardly any people and it was awesome!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Vegas!
Too bad you didn't see a fountain show! They are so much fun!
PS~ I think you want to stay on the strip and just travel to Fremont Street...it is kind of sketchy down there!

I felt the same way when we went in September for my 30th. I can NOT hang anymore. I had fun, eating, sitting by the pool, drinking, and just people watching. Old Vegas is the shit! We had more fun there then on the strip. It's priced better on Freemont Street too!!! You looked fanf*ckintastic and I am glad you had a great time!

I definitely recommend the stratosphere! It's fun to do the whole club, gambling, drunking shenans. But it's also super fun to be a old lady tourist!

OMG, I love the Venetian! Did you notice out great it smelled? I would walk in and walk out several times just to have that amazing smell and cool air hit me in the face.

Don't worry about napping, my friend and I spent an entire day in our suite watching a marathon of Teen Mom and napping, it was bliss.

I don't know if you saw Absinthe by chance or by my recommendation on your IG page but I loved it! It is the best show I've ever seen. We didn't have to pay for our tix because we have connections in Vegas but it is money well spent. I'm glad you enjoyed it and your stay in Vegas.

I've stayed all over the strip and this last time decided to do the Nugget. Loved being on Fremont, zip line was super fun and the bus is cheap to get to the strip if you want. The pool there is super cool but not a lot of room and gets shaded fast. Definitely splurge and pay for a spot in the adult pool. Super nice up there.

the blue top Megan got you for your birthday? Who makes it? I love it and it looks great on you!!!!! I'd love to have one too, going to Mexico

Love Vegas!! Did you work out at all while you were there or did you go full vacay?

We stayed on Fremont when we went. Loved it! My little souvenir from our trip just turned 4. Guess you can say not everything that happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

what kind of strapless bra do you have? i can never find one that actually holds the girls up!

We like to stay on the old strip on Freemont Street at the Golden Nugget. It is much cheaper to stay and more fun to gamble there when they bring you drinks more often! Also, it isn't as packed on the old strip. I hate trying to walk and stay together with a group of people on the new strip! Looks like you had fun and you looked great in your bikini :)
